Guercino by V Canto, a perfume for men and women
This creation is inspired by the great artist and painter Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, nicknamed il Guercino, a tireless creator of works of art and in constant pursuit of personal growth and progress. For these extraordinary gifts he had been hired by the Malatesta to paint in the courtyard, under the patronage of Sigismondo.
There is a beautiful quote from the writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in his famous book “Italian Journey,” in which he describes Guercino with these splendid words, which capture his essence and which then fully echo in the creation dedicated to him, in this bottle with a soft ivory color and the calm, light grandeur of its unforgettable and surprising scent. “Guercino is an intimately honest painter, healthily masculine, without roughness; on the contrary, his works stand out for a gentle moral grace, for a calm and free grandeur, and for something particular that allows the newly trained eye to recognize them at first sight. The lightness, purity, and perfection of his brush are striking. For drapery he uses particularly beautiful colors, with reddish-brown half-tones, very well harmonized with the blue that he too prefers.” (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Italian Journey)
The creation opens with a sparkling and graceful citrus bouquet, where the dominant notes of Amalfi Lemon and Calabrian Bergamot resonate, emphasized by the power of Scalea Cedar embraced by the combination of Bitter Orange and Brazilian Orange. This citrus top gently sinks into a heart of sweet, succulent fruits, combined with flowers with a seductive and sensual scent. Here is Green Apple from the Dolomites with decisive Romagna Pear wrapped in Heliotrope and Frangipani Flowers, in turn wrapped in the fresh sweetness of Persian Melon. Such an unexpected and grand heart, so innovative and revolutionary that it takes a long time to fully understand, and only expert noses can penetrate the folds of its uniqueness, just as happens with Guercino’s art, as quoted by Goethe. The base, in order to live up to its revolutionary and unique heart, in turn expresses an acrobatic balance of harmonious and dissonant elements in unison, where we can admire the power of Jamaican Amyris embraced by the balsamic freshness of silver fir, countered by Indian patchouli, then pushed into a sensual and aphrodisiac vertigo unleashed by the famous magic drop jealously and secretly kept in the Terenzi Library, composed of Grey Amber, Musk, and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla.
