B.B. by V Canto, a perfume for men and women

The creation is inspired by the eclectic poet and artist Basinio Basini, who stood out in the context of that noble patronage which, in the first half of the 15th century, was acquiring increasingly precise connotations. At the court of Gradara, under the rule of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, lover and beneficiary of the new culture, he lavished generous commissions on many artists, naturally asking in return for unconditional loyalty to his power, exalting his deeds.

We can define this new art as the first form of marketing and social influence, a kind of ancient form of communication that acts as a precursor to modern media; for this reason we can safely consider Basinio the first extraordinary Influencer, a very refined and cunning precursor of today’s social world and metaverse. Sigismondo Pandolfo Malastesta invites Basinio Basini to his court to compose poems and songs to emphasize the echoes of the splendor that the Lord of the Castle of Gradara had conceived and created. Basinio was a very prolific man of letters, but above all a lover of exploring the new and mysterious, capable of going beyond known limits to venture toward wonder. Endowed with an extraordinary sensitivity and imagination, he knew how to move fluidly between pleasures and beauty, whether aesthetic or carnal.

A forerunner of his time and ready, with his deep irony, for a polite and shrewd irreverence, the same joy that we find expressed in this fuchsia-pink bottle containing a modern and irreverent perfume, just like the artist who inspired it.

The creation opens with the sparkling effervescence of the most prized Italian citrus fruits, where we can clearly recognize the strength of Bergamot from Reggio Calabria, the intensity of Bitter Orange from Sicily and the power of Lemon from Sorrento, all embraced by the seductive aroma given off by the ‘exciting Bulgarian rose’. This persuasive head rests lasciviously on a bed of aphrodisiac spices and flowers, where one feels the power of Pink Pepper from Brazil and Egyptian Cumin, wrapped in the erotically inspiring veil of Ylang-Ylang flower from the Philippines and White Lotus from the Canary Islands, enveloped in the hypnotizing freshness of Lavender from Lake Garda. The base of the creation rests on solid pillars of soft woods, where Australian Sandalwood and Romagna Birch predominate, able to emphasize the strength of this seductive fragrance like the artist who inspired it, embraced by the mysterious blend composed of Omani Myrrh, oakmoss and musk. B.B. embodies all the irreverent irony of seduction for those who truly love to play outside the box, following the fluid spirit of our deepest and most hidden passions.
